4 Ways to Maximize the Battery Life of Your Theradome Device

Charge and Maintain Theradome Battery

This week on the blog we want to answer a question we’ve been asked a lot lately - “What is the best way to charge and maintain the Theradome device’s battery and maximize its battery life?”

The Theradome device is a truly life-changing device, restoring not just your hair, but also your confidence, so you want to take excellent care of it. And that includes caring for its battery!

In this post, we’ll explain what type of battery the Theradome
device uses and a few simple tips to help maximize its battery life for as long as possible.

What Type of Battery Does the Theradome Device Use?

The Theradome device uses a lithium-ion battery. These types of batteries are also commonly used in laptops, smartphones, and fitness trackers. Lithium-ion batteries are the go-to choice in high-end electronics because they can contain significantly more power, which means your devices stay charged for longer.

However, they do require a bit of special care in order to ensure they last as long as possible with optimal efficiency.

If you take proper care of your Theradome’s battery, you can expect it to last up to 400 charges for a duration of 3 years, with one charge lasting 3 to 9 treatments.

4 Simple Tips to Take Care of Your Theradome Device’s Battery

1. Keep it Cool

Keeping your device’s battery cool allows it to charge more fully for longer. In fact, heat plays the biggest role in the lifespan of lithium-ion batteries. The battery in your hair-restoring Theradome helmet will last longest when stored in temperatures between 68°F and 77°F. That’s why we recommend using and storing your Theradome helmet in a cool environment.

2. Allow Your Device to Fully Charge Between Sessions

Some devices require you to meticulously track your battery charge level to keep them in a very narrow range of 40-80% in order to avoid overcharging, malfunctions, or even explosions.

Theradome’s battery is optimally designed for maximum safety and convenience. We’ve taken out all of the guesswork for you! We specially designed the circuitry to prevent overcharging, so it does not require any special care or hassle on your part.

Simply put your laser hair growth device on the charger after each session and allow it to charge until the master switch is green for at least 10 seconds. Once the battery in your Theradome device is fully charged, the smart charger turns off automatically. There is absolutely no risk of overcharging, so you can leave it on the charger until you’re ready for your next session. This type of charger is just like the charger used to charge your smartphone.

3. Allow the Battery to Fully Discharge Once a Month

Lithium-ion batteries are “smart” batteries, meaning they have the ability to tell you how much battery life is remaining. This is what informs the low battery warning in Theradome devices.

However, it is important for your battery to fully discharge occasionally in order for this to remain accurate and for the low battery warning system to function properly. That’s why it’s recommended that you allow the battery in your Theradome device to fully discharge once a month.

4. Only Use the Theradome Battery & Charger

As with all components of the Theradome device, we have carefully selected and vetted the lithium-ion batteries and chargers used in our products to ensure their safety. In an attempt to cut costs, other manufacturers of lithium-ion batteries and accessories have cut corners on insulation and safety precautions. These low-quality batteries and chargers carry a higher risk of malfunctioning the device if not replaced by an official Theradome battery.

Theradome devices contain 3 temperature sensors and if the device becomes too hot for any reason it will immediately shut down for your safety. Our devices are the only laser hair therapy devices with this feature because ours are the only ones that run on microprocessors.

So be sure to only use Theradome’s batteries and chargers. If your Theradome battery dies and will no longer charge, simply call our customer care team at 1-855-549-6757 to purchase a replacement battery. Then, follow the easy instructions in this video to replace your battery when the new one arrives.

We hope you found these tips helpful and that you put them into practice!
