Theradome's 680 nm medical-grade lasers are designed to penetrate deeply into hair follicles, promoting hair regrowth and strengthening. Unlike a red light therapy helmet using LEDs, which lack the proper wavelength to penetrate deep enough to stimulate hair follicles, medical lasers offer superior results.
This is because LEDs are not lasers. While LEDs are inexpensive and commonly used in electronic on/off indicators and laser pointer toys for cats for instance, they do not provide the focused, single-color wavelength needed for deep follicle penetration. In contrast, lasers are monochromatic, meaning they emit light at a single wavelength, allowing for precise and effective treatment.
Unfortunately, many devices on the market combine LEDs with medical-grade lasers to boast higher light counts. However, the quality of the laser is far more important than the quantity of them. LEDs may spread light over a wider area, but lack the narrow focus and follicle penetration that lasers offer.
