The visible part of our hair is made up of a protein called keratin and dead cells. Visible hair shafts are no longer anchored to our follicles. As hair gets pushed up by new hair growth, the ends or the tips of the hair, being the oldest, will finally split if proper conditioning is not applied to your hair. The best method to control split ends is to cut the oldest pieces or ends of hair down in order to reduce split ends.
The Theradome helps only the newest hairs deep into the scalp where the hairs are formed. It's not possible for Theradome to cause split ends since the longest part and end of the hairs are not alive. There is no blood supply or way to repair the hairs as far down as the ends of the hair.
Your Theradome will continue making your hair stronger but it is up to you to continue trimming your older hairs and to apply oils on your hair such as emu oil or coconut oil to help prevent split ends.
