Is Theradome Safe for Epileptic or Photosensitive Users?

Yes. Theradome laser helmets are designed without flashing, strobing, or pulsing lights and are generally considered safe for people with epilepsy, including those who are sensitive to flashing lights.

Why Is Theradome Different?

Many photosensitive seizures are triggered by rapidly flashing lights, strobe effects, or fast-paced visual patterns.

Theradome does not use any flashing or pulsing laser technology. Instead, it uses continuous laser light during treatment sessions.

In addition, the laser beams are contained within the helmet, meaning there are no stray laser beams or external light effects that could affect the user during treatment.

Understanding Photosensitivity

Some forms of epilepsy can be triggered by:

  • Flashing lights
  • Strobe effects
  • Rapidly flickering images
  • Fast-paced visual patterns

Because Theradome does not use these types of light sources, it does not present the same concerns associated with photosensitive triggers.
